Angela grew up in El Paso, Texas and was the middle child of 5 siblings. She graduated from Irvin High School in 1970. She loved various sports growing up, working on cars with her brother, and spending time with her sisters and many cousins.
In her early 20’s she ventured to Southern California where she attended and graduated from Cerritos College in 1978 with 2 AA degrees in Fashion/Design and Cosmetology. Angela decided to establish her roots in Southern California where she met the love of her life of 41 years, John. Soon after their marriage in 1985, they moved from Santa Ana, Ca and built their loving home in Moreno Valley, Ca where they raised their daughters Alyssa and Valerie. Angie LOVED nothing more than being a mom to her girls, she loved spending time with them and raising them from home. As Angie’s girls grew up, Angie took her love of helping children learn and worked for 20 years at Moreno Valley Unified School District as a bilingual assistant. There, Angie formed bonds with coworkers, who became some of her closest friends and watched her students grow up from elementary school to becoming college graduates.
Angie was always the life of the party and social butterfly! She had such a cheerful personality and she loved to laugh. Her smile was so contagious and she always saw the good qualities in people. Angie loved spending time with her family! She always attended her daughter’s softball games, band practices, graduations and special events throughout their lives. Some of her favorite hobbies included her love to travel with her family, singing at the top of her lungs to her some of her favorite artists, sewing, doing her yearly gardening at home; planting flowers and plants in the yard brought her such joy, going to concerts with John, trying new food places, trips to San Diego zoo, “home spa days” with her daughters, spending an afternoon at the beach having a picnic with her family in San Diego, and being a loving grandmother to her twin grandchildren. Angie lived by her Catholic faith in always looking out for others and helping those in need when she could. She was a devotee believer and held onto her strength in God until his calling of her home.
