Baltazar was born on the 19th of August in 1931 to Baltazar Lopez Sr. and Lenore Lopez in a small mining community in Jerome, AZ. Baltazar graduated from Jerome High School and also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Trade from Woodbury College in Los Angeles, CA. Baltazar was drafted into the United States Army and stationed in Landshut, Germany. This is where he met his future wife Adolfa, while attending a dance. He completed his Military service as a Corporal. Baltazar was then employed by the United States Postal Service where he later retired after 35 years. Baltazar was fluent in English and Spanish as well as some German. Baltazar had a passion for history, WWII documentaries, talk radio, watching 60 minutes and traveling to experience new cultures especially the Native Americans. Every morning you could find him at the breakfast table reading the LA Times. After he retired he worked with mentally challenged children part time and always remained charitable to those less fortunate.
Baltazar was predeceased by his parents Baltazar Lopez Sr. and Lenore Lopez, his oldest son Harold Lopez, and his brother Edward Lopez and Sister Carmen Lopez. He is survived by his 5 siblings Ernie Lopez, Rudy Lopez, Joe Lopez, Mary Lopez, and Eloise Carper. He is survived by his wife Adolfa M. Lopez; his daughter Linda Gladu and son in law Frank Gladu; and his 3 sons Roy Lopez, Albert Lopez and his daughter in law Martha Lopez, and Steven Lopez. Baltazar will also be fondly remembered by his 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Granddaughters. Baltazar will always forever be in our hearts and can now eat all the Ice cream he wants in heaven.
