So sorry to hear about your sweet Mom. She was always so nice to all of us. We enjoyed Ron & Barb coming to North Carolina to see their Uncle Vonnie & Aunt Essie Greene. Vonnie & Finley were brothers. We loved them very much & always had a GOOD time with them. I am Marie Greene Smith. Vonnie’s daughter. There was 13 of us and now only 6 left. My mom, Mary Ann [Gardella] Podorsek and Barbara were close cousins growing up in Detroit together (being born exactly one month apart - my mom said Barbara never let her forget she was first).  : )

I know we visited Barbara and my second cousin's a couple times when I was little when my parents had moved to Ventura County. 

Barbara and my mom remained close and in touch all these years. Even as Barbara was dealing with impending end of life, she would text me asking about how my mom was doing (as my mom is in memory care) - so thoughtful. 

Barbara told me she did Meals on Wheels (?) or a similar organization all the way up til her diagnosis. I was awed! I her honor, my husband and I are looking into doing the program as driver/deliverers in a few months.

I know she will be missed by her family, friends, and community and we share in our deepest condolences to all.❤️

Growing up together our families had many bonds. 
I cherish those memories and want to share my deepest condolences to the Greene family I know she will be greatly missed.

Took mom to track for her birthday in 2020, just before COVID. She was super excited when I asked my friend who operates the gate release to take her on the track. We rode in a horse drawn carriage and she watched the horses load and release. Good day with family!

To all of you wonderful SoCal sisters, my love for you all and the memories of all the help you gave me when I moved to SoCal and were so kind and hospitable to give me a place to live in Russell’s space 😁 and Ron’s space in the living room with a cot.  Miss them too!!!  From loaning the truck for job hunting and just being my SoCal family while I found my way to spending time in Ensenada with Chuck & Lori and sitting on the rocks near the ocean on my Dad’s birthday then, these things I will never forget along with the Garfield cards Barb would give me along the way for different reasons of support.  I love you all and my deepest condolences to you all.  Hugging you as much as I can virtually.  My Mom now has beautiful company with her dear friend Barb Greene.  Toast with Barb’s favorite bubbly for me!!  ♥️💋😇🙏

The BEST visit I’ve had in a long time.  It was so wonderful to have you both here.  *Clink* to you my dear SoCal Momma.  Lots of that bubbly up there I bet!!!  💋 Love you!

We remember Barbara (Mom) for her humor, joy, and generosity. We enjoyed the fun times we had in AZ going for rides in our side-by-sides and going to second hand stores. She was so adventurous. Afterwards we played games—very competitive and she won most the time. So glad to have spent with Mom and her family. We have lots of good memories. Blessings and love to all.

First time we meant Barbara was in Florence Oregon .
She just bought herself a new car and drove from Moreno Valley CA to Florence Oregon.  She brought some lobster with her and everyone had the best dinner that we will never forget.

My mother was an amazing woman and what a great life she lived. She was a guiding light to the family and taught us to be true and resilient. I will forever cherish the beautiful moments we have had in this lifetime and the impact she had in my life.
