Beverly Ann Hughes

Mrs. Beverly Ann Hughes, age 92, of Moreno Valley, California passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her home with loving family members at her side. She was born May 25, 1933, in Los Angeles County, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Napier.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jay Hughes and her son, Jerry Hughes.

She really enjoyed playing bridge but her real passion was raising and caring for her seven children. She started working as a lead bookkeeper for automobile dealerships and then as an auditor for the County of San Bernardino and the State of California, retiring after 20 years. She had a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Cal-State University San Bernardino and passed the Certified Public Accountants exam.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Sun City Grand Bridge Club.

Beverly is survived by four sons; Tommy of Murrieta, Gregory of Redding, Stephen of Banning and Robert of Redlands and two daughters; Joanne of Moreno Valley and Cathy of Moreno Valley and 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Rick Napier of Highland and one sister, Rita Napier-Newman of Ventura.

A religious ceremony for Beverly will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 10915 Pigeon Pass Rd, Moreno Valley, CA 92557. Following the religious ceremony will be a committal service from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518. Then at 1:00 p.m. there will be a celebration of life at March Field Air Museum, 22550 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, Ca 92518.
