

Carolyn Elizabeth Williams was born January 1, 1950, in St Louis, Missouri, to the proud parents of Bessie Mae Williams and T.M. Walker, who both preceded her in death. Carolyn resided in Madison, Illinois until the age of five. After which, her family relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she spent the next 10 years. At the age of fifteen, she moved to Los Angeles, California to start the new life she came to love. While living in Los Angeles, she met Willie “James” Tenner, whom she married in 1967. With this union, two (2) children were born, Bernettia “Toni” Wesley, (Kenny) and Willie “Chris” Tenner (Tanitha RIH). In 1972, she moved to Altadena, California, where she attended Pasadena City College and met her second husband, Wilford “James” Jackson (RIH), whom she married in 1978. With this union, one (1) child was born, Wanjuku ”Juku” Jackson
In 1987, she moved to the Inland Empire, which became known as her home and final resting place.
Carloyn was a reserved individual possessing strength and intelligence, and an outgoing personality while also being a devoted mother. Her interests included visiting casinos, appreciating music, and engaging in crafts, especially beading. Additionally, she had a passion for building and operating computers, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her three (3) children, seven grandchildren (Erica, Jasmine, Ilyesha, Keith, Kenyatta, Taylin, and Isaiaha and 12 Great-grandchildren.
She leaves to mourn her sisters, Annie Harmon of Moreno Valley, Helena Williams of San Bernardino, Eve Williams of Texas, and her brother, Joseph “Kwatamani” Robinson of Belize. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Theresa Cliford and Lawrence Davis.
She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends whom she loves dearly.
We must press forward in prayer. Lord, we thank you for the years you gave us with Carolyn. We express our gratitude, Lord, for years you allowed us to entertain one of your precious children. She will never be forgotten as a mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend, and caretaker.
