Estella Castillo

Estella, aged 85, was a devoted mother and grandmother, a treasured sister, beloved aunt, loyal friend, and naturally gifted Cumbia dancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, eight children, and five grandchildren, and is survived by her sisters Lucy and Leonor, her sons Samuel and Johnny, her daughters Sylvia (married to Duane) and Rebecca (deceased David), as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In life, Estella was at her happiest surrounded by family and when dancing. We find comfort in knowing that her spirit now dances joyfully in heaven, bringing her grace and rhythm to the eternal dance floor. May she continue to light up the skies with her dance and may her memory forever be a melody in our hearts.

A rosary will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Miller Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Boulevard, Moreno Valley, CA. A Catholic funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at St. Christopher Catholic Parish, 25075 Cottonwood Ave., Moreno Valley, CA. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 4414 14th St., Riverside, CA. The address to the lunch celebration will be provided following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a school dance scholarship fund in Estella's honor, celebrating her lifelong love for dance, or to Alzheimer's Research.
