John W Jackson 82 of Moreno Valley, California passed away unexpectedly, but quietly. On the morning of November 19, 2023 in his favorite place to be in (his home). John William Jackson was born on March 29, 1941 to Gertrude Jackson in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia.
JW attended schools in the Fairfax school district of Virginia. While in school, John loved to draw and to play sports. He was also lovingly known as FLY-JACK by his close friends…. Because that dude was always FLY… Jack, not to mention was loved by ALL that knew him. After John graduated high school, he turned to the work field to help support his mother and grandmother….WHOM he loved dearly.
In 1967, John W Jackson walked into the 7-11 and laid his eyes on the most amazing young woman he had ever seen, Nanette Heath. John and Nanette were married in the year of 1968, from that union that had one child, Philandus Jackson. In 1978, John decided to relocate his family to Riverside, California where he was employed at the Bob Hope Special Olympic Foundation. St. John School for Boys, and United Van Lines. FLY-Jack loved spending time watching football, basketball and the world news. One thing for sure is he was always updated on his current affairs and he did not hesitate to share his knowledge.
John William Jackson was predeceased by (one brother) Joseph Jackson (two sisters) Christine Jackson/ Annie Tooties Johnson.
A visitation for John will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California.
