

Juanita Fabela, was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was born on November 10, 1932, to Gregorio and Josefa Morales, in Fort Hancock, Texas. She grew up in Fabens, Texas where she met Lorenzo Fabela. Soon they married and had 10 children. Hector, Mary, Oscar, Peter, Irma, Albert, Alex, Roger, Olga and Arthur. They moved to California in 1960 and raised their family in Orange County. Mom loved being a homemaker, very loving and kind. She took pride in her home, especially when decorating for the holidays, Christmas was her favorite. Mom loved to crochet, play cards, had a great eye for antiques, was a huge fan of Angels Baseball and cooking. Her famous homemade tortillas are her legacy! They will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have them, especially the baby tortilla, “tortillitas” she would call them. Believe it or not she had a great sense of humor and was very funny. She loved being surrounded by her family. Juanita passed away June 4, 2024, at age 91, in Riverside, California. Preceded in death, her husband, Lorenzo Fabela, her sons, Hector, Oscar, Peter, Roger and Arthur. She is survived by Mary, Irma, Albert, Alex, Olga, 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and her sister Amanda Ortega.
