Leroy Brooks was a man who lived life in his own way. Strong-willed, generous, and forever young at heart, he had a personality that was truly his own. Those who knew him understood that Leroy could be stubborn, but they also knew his unmistakable laugh, his love for family, and the simple things that brought him joy.
Born in Texas, Leroy carried a special love for his home state and his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed working on cars and took great pride in keeping his vehicles in excellent condition. Whether he was searching for treasures at a yard sale, adding something to his collection, enjoying his favorite cartoons, or simply relaxing in front of the television, Leroy found happiness in the things he loved.
For his family, the memories are countless. Time spent together in the garage, trips to swap meets, conversations, laughter, and the everyday moments that may have seemed small at the time have now become treasured memories.
Leroy’s generosity, sense of humor, and one-of-a-kind personality left an impression on those around him. He wasn’t a man who needed to be anything other than himself, and that is exactly how he will be remembered.
Although his earthly journey has come to an end, the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to bring his family together.
Forever Remembered by His Family
Leroy will be lovingly remembered by his brother Gus and Rose Brooks; his sister, Corina Velez; his nieces and nephews, Yvette and Sergio, Gus and Desiree, Monique, Sabrina and Ryan; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Adrian, Giovanni, Bill, Juan and Alyssa, Erika, Immanuel, Crispina, Carnell, and Mikayla.
Each carries memories of Leroy that will continue to live on through the stories they share, the laughter they remember, and the love that will forever connect them.
We will miss his presence, remember his laughter, and cherish the blessing of having known and loved him.
Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
