Maria Chona Lumapas Ramilo

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maria Chona Lumapas Ramilo, who peacefully passed away February 2025, at the age of 63.

Born June 1961, in the Philippines, Maria Chona was the cherished daughter of Doloroso Lumapas and Sofia (Soping) Tarona Lumapas. Known for her stunning beauty in her younger years, Maria Chona participated in multiple charity pageants in her hometown, where she utilized this platform to support and raise funds for her community.

Maria Chona was always recognized for her fun-loving humor, fierce determination and independent nature, while her heart was defined by her generosity. She constantly sought ways to bless those around her, especially her five children. Through love, hard work, and countless sacrifices, she was deeply committed to providing her children with every opportunity to succeed, always emphasizing the value of education as a key to unlocking their full potential.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doloroso and Sofia Lumapas; and her husband Constancio Ramilo. She is survived by her devoted children: Cladelle (son-in-law Hani), Christina, Charlene, Charmaine, and JC; her grandchildren: Jacob and William; her siblings: Sonia, Alma, Olga, Rosa, Loida, Luchi, Anson, and Nanette; and a host of other family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing Maria Chona will forever live on in the memories of her family and friends, as she had served as the embodiment of remarkable strength and grace. May she rest in peace.
