She lived most of her life in California where she was married, raised two children, and was a skilled and avid crafter who loved sewing, crochet, knitting, tole painting, and more. She worked as a secretary and spent many years working at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Summers, Jr.; her parents, Millard Morris and Savilla (Bennett) Morris; her brother, James Morris; sister, Donna Johnson; and her sister, Luella Benson.
She leaves behind her children, Cheryl Arasim and Joe Summers IV; grandchildren, Lauren Arasim, Sean Summers, Paul Summers, and Aiden Summers.
