

Policarpio Baluyot Hipolito was born on January 26, 1954, in Tarlac City, Philippines, the youngest child of Remedios and Ciriaco Hipolito. He peacefully passed away in Loma Linda, CA, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
Paul graduated from Don Bosco Academy High School and utilized his GI Bill to further his education, earning a Master in Business Administration. He proudly served in the Navy, beginning in 1979, and was stationed at Naval Base San Diego aboard the USS Horne and USS Enterprise. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Carolina, at a family potluck. Two years later, they married and embarked on a 40-year journey together.
Following his service on Westpac duty, Paul was assigned to NSA Naples and later to Naval Station Norfolk, where he retired after 24 years of honorable service. Throughout his career, he received numerous accolades and medals of commendation.
Paul was known for his kindness, love, and wisdom, always bringing love and laughter to those around him and treasured his time with his entire family. He is survived by his beloved wife Carolina, his two sons, Paul and Joshua, and his three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Lilian, and Carolyne who will forever cherish him. He is also survived by his brothers Josefino “Bing,” Alfredo, Ernesto, and sisters Christina, Angie, and Baby, as well as many cherished lifelong friends.
Paul's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew him. Fair winds and following seas.
A funeral service for Policarpio will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Christopher Parish, 25075 Cottonwood Ave, Moreno Valley, CA 92553. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
