I often saw Ruben at the San Luis Obispo Newman Catholic center and out on the track during Cal Poly Distance Club meetings, where he brought positive energy and a friendly presence.

My heart lies with your family and Ruben, and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Even though I only met Ruben recently through work, he has left an incredible impact on my life. Throughout our time working together I admired his kindness, positivity, and patience. He had an incredible gift for making people feel welcomed and listened to. I aspire to be like him.

I was so sorry to hear about Ruben‘s passing. I have some fond memories of him well…. of all the family.
Ruben first communion and confirmation,  ultra server. He always had that little shy grin  or big smile. Looking at these photos. What a wonderful family you are. He’s in the comfort of our Lord‘s arms now and you have an angel looking over you.
