We will all miss Shelia.

I’ve known Sheila since she was first hired at MSH in I think, 1986.  We became friends and eventually worked at PSH and enjoyed lunches together. Sheila was a hard working woman. She was fun.  The last time we spoke was about 6 months ago and we planned on going out to lunch when I came to California in the spring. I am so sad to learn that she passed but I know she’s in heaven with our Lord and Savior.  May she rest in peace.

It is difficult to find words to describe how heartbroken I am knowing that my Sister-in-law has preceded me to heaven.  I can't  explain or describe the void her leaving has left in my heart. Our almost daily conversations over so many years lent so much love for one another.  My only consolation is that she is no longer going through any pain and/or sickness in this world.  SHE IS NOW TOTALLY BLESSED IN GOD'S HOME. I have a new Angel in my life. Please everyone join me in prayer and non ending Love for my Sister Sheila.

Dear auntie Sheila, when it came to an auntie, you were just that someone who I could depend on even if I didn’t like what you had to say when I came to you to ask you for a favor, you still told me what you had to say, regardless of how it came out it was said it was understood and that’s just the way it was. You were always understanding very loving nurturing and spoke your mind you will be truly missed there won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t think about you when I needed you. You were there for me when I first got myself together. You were one of my biggest supporters and I will be forever grateful to you. I thank you for everything that you have done for me helped me through and cheered me on about in my life. I love you. I respected the relationship that we had and I will forever be grateful thank you auntie Sheila.

 I don’t even know how to put into words what you meant to me. You weren’t just my former mother-in-law you were truly family, my friend, my confidant. We shared so many conversations, so many moments, and I don’t think people ever really knew how close we were or how much we talked.
 
 You weren’t only Isaiah’s grandma you were his safe place, his biggest supporter, his world. You were also there for my other two boys, loving them like they were your own, and I will forever be grateful for the way you opened your heart to all of us.
 
 These past few years brought us even closer, and I am so thankful we had that time. No matter what anyone thought of me, you stood by my side. You never judged, you only loved unconditionally. That is such a rare and beautiful gift, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for it.
 
 I’m trying so hard, Sheila, to stay positive and make things okay for the boys. Isaiah is hurting he misses you deeply and we’re all so numb knowing you’re not here. Writing this for your memorial breaks me because it makes it real.
 
 But no one can ever take away the love I have for you, or the bond we shared — as mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, as friends, and especially as the best grandma in the world.
 
 I’ll never forget our last video chat. You told me not to cry because I was going to make you cry. My last words to you, just the day before you passed, were to thank you for everything and to promise you I would take care of Isaiah. I hope you knew how deeply you were loved.
 
 Rest peacefully now, Sheila. Go be with Marcus. We love you always.

That Smile!!! I have so many memories. Just sitting here smiling, crying and laughing through my tears. This is very hard knowing that I can’t pick up the phone to check on you.  No more sneaking snacks into Kaiser. No more Casina Sunsays or sitting on the couch watching Law and Order.  I’ll  take pain  of losing you so that you can  be free of no pain. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life. Our memories are forever etched in my heart.

Auntie Shelia was a woman who gave with her whole heart. She had a way of making every person feel loved and cared for, whether through her generosity, her laughter, or her unforgettable cakes that were simply too delicious to put into words.

Some of the fondest memories were the many trips to her favorite place—the casino—where she would proudly pick up gifts she had earned . At home, her candy dish always drew the attention of Aleeya & Jayceon ( her Great’s) though everyone knew the rule: only one piece! My children will always treasure those visits, filled with laughter, warmth, and the playful scolding that only Auntie Shelia could give.

She will be remembered as the best cake baker, a proud supporter of her family, and a spirited soul who never missed a chance to cheer on her great-niece Aleeya at softball games. Her voice, whether encouraging Aleeya from the stands or passionately debating politics and elections on the TV, will be deeply missed.

Auntie Shelia’s love, strength, and vibrant personality will forever remain in our hearts. She gave with love, lived with passion, and left us with memories we will cherish always.
