Socorro “Coring” Zardilla passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 93 on October 25, 2025—what would have been her 78th wedding anniversary with her late husband, who passed three years prior at age 100.
Born in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, Philippines to Benito Villante and Margarita Tolentino, she was a devoted mother to 13 children, including Mae who preceded her in death, and a proud grandmother to 40 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Socorro was known for her kindness, generosity, and extraordinary talent as a seamstress. She crafted beautiful gowns, never asking for payment, simply saying, “It’s up to you.” Her strength and selflessness touched everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave so freely.
