She went home to be with God after a courageous battle to get better on what would have been her Husband’s 100th Birthday. Preceding her in death, her beloved husband of thirty years, her mother, seven of her siblings and one of her grandchildren. She is survived by her 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, in addition to her 1 surviving sibling. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and recently great-great grandmother, sister, and friend—a woman whose strength, generosity, and unwavering love made her the true foundation of her family.
Bonnie was the sixth of nine children born into a humble and hardworking family. She experienced both hardship and resilience early in life, including the loss of a sibling in infancy. Growing up with very little, she developed a deep sense of gratitude, frugality, and compassion that stayed with her throughout her life. She never hesitated to help those in need, offering her time, her home, and her heart to family, friends, and anyone who crossed her path.
She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, her life partner of 30 years. Together, they built a beautiful life and home for their children. After his passing at the young age of 56, when Bonnie was only 48, she carried on with remarkable strength and grace. She never remarried, as her heart remained devoted to the love they shared.
In 1978, Bonnie and her husband purchased a home on an acre of land, a place that would become the heart of countless family memories. After his passing, she continued to manage the home, raise her children, and maintain the property, all while working tirelessly, often putting in 60-hour weeks. Even with her full schedule, she opened her home to family gatherings for decades, especially during Christmas and Easter, which brought her immense joy and created cherished traditions for generations.
Bonnie was the “rock” of her family. She was always present—for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings—through both joyful moments and times of need. She was someone you could turn to at any hour, for any reason, knowing she would listen, guide, and support without hesitation.
She also formed many lasting friendships during her 30-year career and was known and loved by all who worked alongside her. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In her later years, Bonnie showed the same devotion to her own mother, caring for her until her passing at the remarkable age of 105½. This act of love reflected the same selflessness she demonstrated throughout her entire life.
Bonnie will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, and giving woman with a joyful spirit. Even in times of pain or struggle, her faith remained strong, and her heart remained open. She was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
