He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 28 years, Edith M. Stevenson of New Iberia, Louisiana; one son, Edgar Stevenson of Gibson, Louisiana; six stepchildren, Jerald Stansbury and Charles (Jamie) Watts, both of New Iberia, Louisiana, Janice (Tharon) Brown of Thibodaux, Louisiana, Rosharda Stevenson of Houma, Louisiana, Kenny Stevenson of Morgan City, Louisiana; his sister, Ruby Poindexter of Gibson, Louisiana; his nieces, Brenda Lee Williams of Schriever, Louisiana, Barbara Ann Williams of Bayou Blue, Louisiana, Belinda Lee Clay of Gray, Louisiana, and Loretta Texas Barabin of Gray, Louisiana; a special niece, Martha Robinson of Dallas, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Rogers Stevenson and Idella S. Stevenson.
