He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 15 years, Wynesha Whiley of Patterson, Louisiana; his mother, Lucille Whiley of Alameda, California; his four sons, Donavan Weston and Brian Weston, both of Lafayette, Louisiana, Keithen Gaskins of Wildwood, Florida, and Kingston Whiley of Amelia, Louisiana; eight daughters, Cashe Clark of Alabama, Shantel Francois of Lafayette, Louisiana, DaJennea Stevenson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Karanisha Butler of San Antonia, Texas, Kiana Butler of Morgan City, Louisiana, Sa'khylin Payton of Patterson, Louisiana, Za'Caria Whiley of Patterson, Louisiana, and Reign Whiley of Amelia, Louisiana; his brothers, Bryan Whiley of San Francisco, California, Joseph Edwards of Alameda, California, Christopher (Joyce) Whiley of Clear Lake, California; his three sisters, Kathy Whiley of San Francisco, California, Shannon Whiley and Carolyn Whiley, both of Alameda, California; ten grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Sonny Hartman; his grandfather, Perry Whiley and grandmother, Thelma Pollard Whiley.
