Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 507 Fourth St., Morgan City, LA. Funeral Services begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery, Berwick, LA.

Leotha leaves to honor her legacy her devoted husband of 61 years, Jesse Griffin, Sr.; three loving sons, Jesse Griffin, Jr., Dennis Griffin, and David Griffin; beloved grandchildren, Kiara Griffin, Kiana Griffin, Destini Griffin, DeAngele’ Griffin, Tysin Meads, and David Griffin, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Amara Pegues, Jariah King, Calia Brown, Calise Brown; DeAndrew Brown, Jr.; two brothers, James Williams, Sr., Leo Joseph Williams Sr.; one sister, Thelma Williams Dugar; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sonny Boy Williams, Sr. and Otha Johnson Williams; grandchild, Devin Strong; siblings: Helen Mae Williams, Patsy Williams, Sonny Boy Williams, Jr., Vernadette Williams Griffin, Francis Williams Triggs, and Artha J. Williams, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Francis and Henry Johnson, Sr.; paternal grandparents Ed and Arella Merritt Edwards; sister-in-law, Lilly Mae Williams.

Although the place she held in the hearts of those who loved her can never truly be filled, the love she poured into their lives will remain forever. Her legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched and will never be forgotten.
