Norma Lee Cage Butler

Born on November 14, 1935, in Bayou Sale, Louisiana, Norma Lee Cage Butler was a resident of Patterson, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Good Hope Baptist Church 908 Washington Street Patterson, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in Patterson, Louisiana.

Norma’s survivors are: two granddaughters, Tawonna Cage of Manvel, Texas and Maisha T. (Xavier) Owens of Hutton, Texas; one great-grandson, Ugochukwu Kingsley Anenye II of Hutton, Texas; five sisters, Louise Poole Jones of Houston, Texas, Augustine Cage Grogan of Patterson, Louisiana, Ellen Cage Johnson of Netherland, Texas, Ernestine Cage of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Evelyn Joyce Cage of Morgan City, Louisiana; three brothers, George Cage of Richmond, California, Nelson Cage of San Antonio, Texas, and Ricky Cage of Franklin, Louisiana; one uncle, Wedell Franklin of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Bill Butler; her parents, Alexander Cage, Jr. and Ann Franklin Cage; her grandparents; two sons, Ronald Cage and Jay Cage; three brothers, Robert Cage, Sr., Clarence Cage, and Donald Wayne Cage; one niece, Nedra Y. Cage; and one great-great niece, Malaysia N. Ruffin.
