Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 113 Federal Avenue Morgan City, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Wilson (Lisa), Patterson, LA; Daughter In Law, Charlette Wilson (St. Martinville, LA); Twenty Grandchildren; Seventy-four Great Grandchildren; and twenty-seven Great, Great, Grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Williams, sons Paul L. Wilson Jr.(Jacqueline deceased), Jerome J. Wilson, and Martin L. Wilson; grandson, Paul L. Wilson, III; great grandson Joseph J. Wilson, Jr.; Siblings: Gillis R. Wilson, Sr., Martha Jane Wilson Irving, Johnny Wilson, twin sisters Ann Nell Wilson and Doris L. Wilson. Parents: Lawrence and Amanda Elmore Wilson; Grandparents: Elihu and Nellie Ratliff Elmore, Edward and Cora A. Lewis Wilson; Great Grandparents: Dennis and Lily Wilson, Peter and Sophia Lewis; Daniel and Addie Gaines Elmore; and Samuel and Emmaline Moore Ratliff; Great, Great Grandparents: Samuel and Cheney Elmore, Isaiah and Mary Gaines, and Betty Lewis.
