Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Maxie O’Brien Jr. of Verdunville, Louisiana; his mother, Pervy Ruffin of Lafayette, Louisiana; three brothers, Laron Ruffin, Curry O’Brien, and Chad O’Brien; two sisters, Arla Nicholas and Leah Hunt; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Troy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Amanda Ruffin, and his paternal grandparents, Maxie O’Brien Sr. and Genevieve O’Brien.
