Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at New Salem Baptist Church 1412 Cherry Street Patterson, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Ibert's Cemetery 1111 Lia Street Patterson, Louisiana.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 42 years, Vernell Griffin of Patterson, Louisiana; four daughters, Monica (Terry) Leonard of Centerville, Louisiana, Sophia Dewey, Paula Dewey, Candance (George "June") Clark, all of Patterson, Louisiana; a brother, George (Rose) Dewey of Patterson, Louisiana; her three sisters, Genevieve (Robert) Riles of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donna Gash of Patterson, Louisiana, and Mary Crosby of Patterson, Louisiana; her three godchildren, Lashana Bennett of Schriever, Louisiana, Jeremy (Tiffany) Smith of Patterson, Louisiana, and Eric Louis of Lafayette, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
Wadrena was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey and Eva Kincaid; her brothers, Irving Dewey, Jessie Dewey, and Oscar Dewey; and one grandchild, Kylin Dewey.
