Robert Charles Benson

In loving memory of Robert Charles Benson, who passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 14, 2013. Beloved husband to the late Beverley Benson. Loving father of Robert, Mark, Barbara, Michael, James, Kathryn, Carol and Christine. Adored Grandfather of 14 and Great Grandfather of 3. After leaving the Navy in 1946, he attended Iowa State University and graduated in 1954. Originally settled in Sunnyvale from Iowa in 1959, where he became employed as an engineer at Lockheed, where he retired in 1992. He had love for his outdoor activities, sailing, snow skiing, horse riding, etc. and passed this onto his kids. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. REST IN PEACE POPS!

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11am in the chapel at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill, CA. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Gilroy, CA.
