Angela Jane Reep

Angela Jane Reep, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed peacefully in her sleep after a life marked by education, good deeds and the desire to care for others. Born to Marlie M. Biggerstaff and John Vernon Reep.

Those who knew Angela will remember her as a woman whose love was both anchor and flame. Her light does not end, it settles into the hearts of those she raised. Her bold spirit moves now through the mountains she loved and called home.

Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and devoted her career to caring for those with disabilities, guiding others with compassion and unshakable will. She possessed the grace of a queen and the heart of a warrior, fighting for the vulnerable with a true Christian spirit.

She is survived by her two children, Grethel Calhoun Elder (Bruce Elder, husband) and John Travis Holt. Grand children Savanna Elder, Autumn Elder. Angela was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Reep, mother Marlie Biggerstaff, father John Vernon Reep.

The family will celebrate Angela’s life in a private family gathering. In lieu of a formal funeral and flowers the family ask that you share your memories with them through letters and cards as Angie was never about a big social event but enjoyed the personal touch of letters.
