

Annie Delita Burns McGalliard, 99, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 24, 2012, while at the Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Valdese. Born May 15, 2913, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Burts Burns and Millie Brown Burns. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGalliard was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward McGalliard, her only son, Troy Edward McGalliard, a brother, Robert Burns, three sisters, Iva Hall, Doris Anthony and Mary Helton, Mrs. McGalliard was also preceded in death by four grandchildren.
She will lovingly be remembered by three grandsons, Phillip McGalliard & Chris McGalliard, both of Hickory and Butch McGalliard & wife, Rene, of Morganton;
A granddaughter, Hope McGalliard, of Hickory;
A sister-in-law, Annie Mae Burns, of Morganton;
A host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews will also lovingly remember her.
The family would like to thank Morganton Long Term Care and Burke Hospice and Palliative Care for their kind, professional and special care they provided for Mrs. McGalliard.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton, with the Reverend Charlie Crump officiating. Interment will follow at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
