Apostle Teross Young

He was born to the late Victor and Pauline P. Young on December 30, 1948 in Iredell Co.

As a farmer’s son, he gave his life to Christ at an early age. He has always wanted to help others. Through his obedience, he was called into ministry at the age of 27. He heard the voice of God saying, “Go work while it is day, night coming and no man can work!”He committed himself to a relationship with God. He worked faithfully in preaching and teaching God’s word.

God spoke to Apostle Young and told him that he would be an Apostle like Paul and therefore Apostle Young established 7 churches from Statesville, North Carolina to Florida. Apostle Young’s years of ministry have made a difference in many lives. Through the power of God, there have been many souls saved, healed, blessed, delivered and set free through his ministry.

In addition to his parents, Apostle Young was preceded in death by his brothers Floyd Young, Fred Young, and William Young, sisters; Alice Sherrill and Lucille McClain.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pastor Minnie Young, children; April Eckles (Dennis), Teross Young, Jr., (Renee), Nina Reid (Andre), Melinda Barber (Elmer), Samantha Young, Stepsons Robert Bryant (Missy), Aaron Bryant (Keisa), sisters; Melva Norman (Richard), Overseer Virginia Byers (late Bishop Joe), brother; Howard Young (Arlene) also surviving include his brother in laws Pastor Samuel Happoldt (Cassandra), and Apostle Spencer Happoldt, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A receiving of family and friends for Apostle Teross will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM at Faith Deliverance Center for Jesus, 2103 E. Greenbriar Rd., Statesville, NC 28625. Funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the funeral service Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1037 Cornelius Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117.
