Betty Jean Rinehardt, 82, of Newton, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, April 5, 2021, at her residence in Newton. Born August 22, 1938, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Foy Jolley, Sr. and the late Odessa P. Jolley. Mrs. Rinehardt was a member of St. John's Holiness Church in Newton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William Rinehardt; a son Kurt Douglass Rinehardt; two grandchildren, David Keyshun Farley, and Sabrina Lasha Farley; a son-in-law, David Farley; a sister, Louise J. Rivers; and a brother, Glenn Earl Jolley. Also, two cousins raise by her parents as siblings, Peggy Ann Derr and Johnnie Ray Parker.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Rinehardt of Conover; two daughters: Sharon Rinehardt Farley and Pamela Rinehardt Farley (Johnny), both of Newton; two brothers, Foy Jolley Jr.(Cheryl) of Cheyenne, Wyo., Charles Jolley (Frances H.), of Catawba; three sisters, Ruby Jolley of Newton, Geraldine Propst of Hickory, and Mary Jolley Powell (J.P.), of Catawba; five grandchildren, Adrian Farley of Hickory, Mark Farley, Jermaine Farley, Charissa Farley, and Latearra Farley all of Newton; 5 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 3:00 p.m. at St. John Holiness Church in Newton.
