Billie (Price) Crump

Billie Price Crump, 77, of Morganton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 3, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1944 in McDowell County to the late Albin Lee Price and Edna Gallion Price.

Billie graduated from Glen Alpine High School in 1963. Billie was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was happiest when spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling and working in her flower gardens and attended Summit Community Church. She worked as a LPN for Comserve Group Homes and retired from J Iverson Riddle.

Those left to cherish Billie's memories include her son Jackie Crump (Jan) and daughter Tracy Bombenger (Jim); grandchildren, Jordan Crump (Summer); Sydney Hancock, Lauren Crump and Jackson Crump and great-grandson, Jax; sister, Pat Warren and brother Reece Price. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by siblings, Leonard Price, Joann Suttles and Betty White.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Chandler officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers who assisted the family in providing Billie companionship and support over the past several years.
