After graduation, Brad enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he retired as a CWO4 in 1988. He held several jobs while in the Marines, including being a loadmaster and navigator on several aircraft, as well as being a drill instructor in San Diego, CA.
When Brad retired out of Cherry Point, NC, he met his wife, Julie. They moved out to Morganton, NC, in 2010, after she retired from the DoD.
Brad always loved to golf and held a single digit handicap until he was unable to golf due to health reasons. He loved watching all types of sports on tv and was a diehard UCONN and Red Sox fan.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward (Eddie) and David. He is survived by his wife of nearly 34 years, Julie, two brothers, Ron and Milke, and two sisters, Gwen and Judy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His last wish was to not have any type of service. Once he is cremated, his ashes will be spread in the Great Smoky Mountains, a place he loved so much.
