Catherine Loretta Beasley

Cat was born in Burke County, North Carolina on May 3, 1964 to Hazel Odell Cuthbertson and McCoy Nathaniel Connelly. She was married to her husband of thirty three years, Aaron Beasley. Cat was a caregiver at the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. She was a member of Shiloh AME Church in Morganton and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Valdese. She enjoyed shopping and loved to travel. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Benjamin & Fanny Cuthbertson; her paternal grandmother, Margaret Davis; and a granddaughter, Mehkiya Wilkerson.

Survivors include her husband, Aaron Beasley of Valdese; her father, McCoy Connelly of Morganton; her mother, Hazel Fuller & husband Daniel of Morganton; a daughter, Monique Beasley of Morganton; four sisters, Margaret Peterson, Tammy Connelly, Priscilla Fisher & husband Daren, all of Morganton, and Barbara Peterson & husband David of Lenoir; and three grandchildren, Tyree, Dayonna, and Tavion Wilkerson, all of Morganton.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Shiloh A.M.E. Church in Morganton. Burial will follow at Fullwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
