Charles Keith Browning

Mr. Charles Keith Browning, 48, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 27, 2011, while at his residence. Born June 9, 1963, in Burke County, he was a son of the late Charles Bruce Hampton and Nora Wigley Hampton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Edward “Jack” Browning and Leola “Bo” Hampton Browning, two brothers, Donald Shields and Reginald Benfield, and two sisters, Sandra Aldridge and Virginia Kanive. Mr. Browning was a member of the Mt. View #1 Baptist Church where he loved to sing and fellowship.

Mr. Browning is survived by three brothers, Joe Browning & wife, Brenda, of Morganton, Wayne Buff & wife, Elizabeth, of Marion and Jerry Browning & wife, Christine, of Kingsport, TN;

Three sisters, Donna Stepp, of Arden, Charlie Beth Miller & husband, Robert, of Morganton and Jackie Hedstrom & husband, John, of High Point;

Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews of whom he loved dearly, all his friends at Turning Point Workshop and his special, loving caregiver, Elizabeth St. John Bradley also survive him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Browning will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Mt. View #1 Baptist Church with the Reverends Kenneth Frady, Douglas Woody and Charles Harmon officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. View #1 Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2011, at Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton.
