Charles Bruce Keever

Bruce was born to the late Forrest Lenoir Keever and Delma Bradshaw Keever on March 7, 1950 in Burke County. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a long-time employee of Lowes. Bruce served as a volunteer Fireman and First Responder for the Oak Hill Fire Department and was a member of the Burke County Search and Rescue Team.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Evelyn Page Keever of the home; a son, Benjamin Keever of Sylva; and four sisters, Judy Keever of Morganton, Joyce Abee (Guy) of Valdese, Iris Spangler (Michael) of Shelby and Laura Peck (Tim) of Greensboro. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Carlson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery in Vale, NC.

The family suggests memorials be made to Calvary Lutheran Church or Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
