Coy Gene Wilson

Born October 6, 1942 to the late Ruby Phillips Wilson and Don Daniel Wilson.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, R.D Wilson, Vester Wilson; sisters, Marchie Phillips, Lillian Boone, and Helen Boone.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Donna Margaret Wilson; daughter, Tammy Gray (fiance, Chad); sons, Derek Wilson (wife, Jessica), Ronald Frey; brother, Therry Wilson; grandchildren, Karissa Burris, Brittan Towe, Bryson Towe, Paige Mingle, Alex Towe, Rylan Wilson, Harrison Wilson, Helene Frey, Marika Frey, and Isabel Frey; great-grandchild, Carson Burris; and a very special friend and caretaker, Jeanie Proctor.

Coy was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, leatherworking, training horses, being outdoors, and collecting antiques. Above all, he deeply valued his relationship with Christ, family, and close friends.

A graveside service with Military Honors will held at 5:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Stroud Family Cemetery in Marion, North Carolina with Rev. Mark Hollifield and Rev. Marvin Hollifield officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hicks Chapel Baptist Church in Marion, North Carolina.
