Diane (Ledford) Seagle

Diane Ledford Seagle, age 84, of Valdese, went home to be with the Lord away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Diane was born to the late Richard Henry Ledford and Della Elizabeth Pritchard Ledford on December 2, 1938 in Buncombe County, NC.

Diane was a faithful member of Abees Grove Baptist Church in Valdese. She enjoyed gospel music, especially the Primitive Quartet. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her two sons, Richard and Jarol Smith; and a sister, Frances Brittian.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include a son, James Smith of Valdese; two stepsons, Chris Seagle and his wife Karen of Icard and Danny Seagle of Virginia; two granddaughters, Katelynn Smith and Sunianne Shell; four great grandchildren, Jonas, Jaxon, Journey and Jazlynn; and a sister, Laura Prescott of Anchorage, Alaska. Diane was also survived by two special fur babies, Andy and Barney

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, Aug 13, 2023 at Abees Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Valdese.
