Elaine Susan Baker

Elaine Susan Moore Baker, age 89, of Drexel, NC passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Elaine was born the daughter of the late William Charles Kiley Moore and Florence Eleanor Sherman Moore born on April 24,1932 in Hornell, NY.

Elaine was a proud New Yorker. She moved to North Carolina in 1969, but most of her life she lived in Canisteo/Hornell, NY where she worked. Elaine enjoyed playing Canasta and did a lot of crocheting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Elaine will be missed.

Those left behind to cherish Elaine's memory include three children, Bonnie Baker Byrd of Marion, Walter Baker, Jr. and his fiancé Dianna Scoggins of the home and Ronald Lynn Baker and his wife Carol of Marion; five grandchildren, Kari Wilkerson (Tim), Eddie Byrd, Craig Baker, Janee Whisnant (Alan), Ronnie Baker Jr.; and six great grandchildren, Avery Wilkerson, Lillian and Miranda Whisnant, Shaylee, Travis and Mia Baker. Elaine is also survived by three brothers, one sister and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will beheld at a later date.
