Elbert "Hippy" Kenneth Patrick

He was born to the late Hazel Patrick on May 13, 1958 in Ashe Co.

Hippy was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge where he served as a Legioneer. He enjoyed car sales, and loved motorcycles. Hippy never met a stranger, he will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Hippy was preceded in death by his step son Bobby Allen Taylor, Jr., along with a number of siblings.

Those left to cherish his memories include his fiance Teresa Jean Weaver of the home, daughter; Lavonne Miller of Lenoir, step daughter; Janie Taylor of Granite Falls, brothers; Harry Ray Clarke (Jinny) of Morganton, Bruce Clark (Robin), Rick Miller (Karran) both of Mississippi, John Clarke (Shawna) of Illinois, and Bob Clarke of Florida, sisters; Carolina Vo of Winston Salem, Penni Sheets (Harold) of Roaring River, and Lisa West (Jim) of Lansing, also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, along with a special nephew David Clark.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton. Burial will follow at the James L. Goodman Family Cemetery, West Jefferson. The family will receive friends Monday, December 12, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
