Emma Jean Causby

She was born June 19, 1939 to the late Fred Barber and Verna Spann Barber in Burke Co.

Jean retired from Western Carolina Center/JIRDC after 25 years of service where she worked in dietary. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sitting on the front porch in her swing, and loved listening to music. Jean was also a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church of Morganton.

In addition to her parents, her husband Billy Ray Causby preceded her in death, along with her brothers Roy and James Barber.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children; Diane Ebert (David), Sandra Bollinger, and Donald Causby, grandchildren; Tamber Duvall (Chris). Tabatha Arney, and Marc Causby and 5 great grandchildren, also surviving include a sister Helen Lambert (Kenneth) along with her favorite sister-in-law Judy Causby.

Funeral Services for Emma Jean Causby will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
