Emmie Pauline Conley Kincaid

Mrs. Emmie Pauline Conley Kincaid, age 92, of Morganton, went home to be with her heavenly father on, Monday, October 04, 2010 while in the care of Burke Hospice, following a period of declining health. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all.

She was born October 4, 1918 in Burke County to the late Robert Conley and Hannah Benfield.

Emmie was a charter member of El Bethel Baptist Church, where she helped for many years in Sunday School, Bible School and was involved in the WMU.

Emmie is survived by her husband of 69 years Cecil Kincaid of the home; two sons, Donald Kincaid and wife Barbara, and Rickie Kincaid and wife Rita, both of Morganton; two daughters, Peggy Hartness and husband Don of Conover and Gail Lambert and husband Richard of Morganton; five grandchildren, one step grandson and 11 great grandchildren. Also a brother, Roy Conley of Morganton and a sister, Faye Blazer of Knoxville, TN.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers Charles Conley of Huntersville and Robert Conley of Morganton and one sister, Bythia Davis of Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at El Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Ron Cooper and Reverend David Bean officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM, Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the church prior to the services. At other times the family will be at her residence.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
