

Frank Edward “Brother” Caldwell Jr. 62, of Morganton, peacefully departed this world to spiritually be with the Lord, Thursday June 16, 2011, while at Carolina’s Medical Center, Charlotte. Born October 27, 1948 in Burke County, he was a son of Frank Edward Caldwell Sr., of St. Petersburg, FL and Betty Lou Fullwood Caldwell, of Morganton, NC. Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Laura Jean Johnson Caldwell, two sons, Heath Edward Caldwell, Rosheen Marquize-Shurun Williams and a sister, Alice Faye Brown. He was a member of the Willow Tree A.M.E. Church, Morganton, NC. He retired from Burke County Waste Management after several years of service. Frank was also a skilled handyman in which he worked until the time of his retirement. A very family oriented man, he retired with his family and canine best friend, Sampson, but “Dog” as Frank called him.
Frank will leave his most memorable moments to two other children, a son, Allen Artena Caldwell and wife Chrissie, of Morganton;
A daughter Tina Renay Caldwell, of Morganton;
Three brothers, Allen Caldwell, Sterin Caldwell and Allen Davis;
Five sisters, Gloria Hall, Mary Thomas, Debra Dula, Beverly Sudderth, and Sandra Huey; Five grandchildren, Tevan D. Davis, Marcus A. Davis, Shene E. Caldwell, Marquise Caldwell, and Cortina J. Caldwell;
A great grandchild, MarKaylah D. Dickey and a host of nieces and nephews will also remember him.
Funeral Services for Mr. Caldwell will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the Willow Tree A.M.E. Church with the Reverend Rupert Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at Avery-Fullwood Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
