Gregory Shane Howard, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 due to chronic health issues. He was born in High Point, NC to parents, David Wilson Howard and Ann Riggs Howard.

Greg is survived by one sister, Janice Howard (Eugene, OR), as well as a daughter, Sarah Anne Howard, and three grandchildren. He was married twice and remained close to his ex-wife, Suzy, who cared for him in his final months.

Greg was preceded in death by a son (Gregory Andrew Howard) and his mother, Ann. He worked for 30+ years as a stonemason and his beautiful work with its distinctive style may be seen throughout the county. In Loving Memory of my nephew, Gregory Shane Howard.

Greg, as we all called him, was so loved by his family. His life was short and but he touched many lives and is missed by so many. He now lives with my sister, Ann as I am sure that they are together along with our Mother who loved him deeply. His son, Andrew is there to welcome him , too. What a reunion with Our Lord Jesus. My Love to him and to all! Aunt Becky

To my nephew, Greg Howard, family and friends

Now abide faith, hope. love, these three, but the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13:13

I remember Greg as a little boy, dressed up in his cowboy outfit, playing outdoors, going to the garden and picking vegetables. He enjoyed being outdoors and grew up to be a talented builder and rock mason. He was so smart and had such a sweet spirit.
I recall the last time we had lunch together in Morganton. He shared his faith in God and how much he missed his dear mother and son.
Greg, you are all together now, mother, grandmother and Andrew, where there is Peace and Joy forevermore.
Love to you always, Aunt Jackie
