Jack Wendell Anderson
September 24, 1931 – October 9, 2021
Jack Wendell Anderson, age 90, of Morganton, NC passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at his home with his loving wife (Lynn) by his side. Jack was born to the late Boyce Wendell Anderson and Mildred Stump Anderson on September 24, 1931 in Tiffin, Ohio.
A loving husband and father, dad would have wanted his death to be a celebration of his life. Well, here we go. Dad was always a jokester, our beloved husband & father loved to tell jokes that which cannot be printed here.
Even while fighting his Dementia, dad still tried to be a jokester and he was, with all of his buddies that he came into contact with daily. He was always trying to see if he could make someone laugh.
The way dad lived is; he wrote his own rules, he fought authority and he paved his own way. If someone said, “he couldn’t do it”, well dad would make sure he could and did.
Our daddy lived 1000 years in the 90 calendar years we had with him. Dad attacked life; he grabbed it by the throat, kissed it, and swung it back unto the dance floor of life.
An avid sailor & Navy veteran, Jack loved to be on the water, whether it was sailing, fishing or working on a friend’s boat. Dad enjoyed golf, racing, camping, and travel. Dad lived his life to the hilt.
Jack Wendell Anderson, is survived by his wife, Evelyn Griffin Anderson; three children, Ollie Anderson, Jackie Verlander and Scott Anderson and his wife Linda; two stepsons, Curtis Bluto and his wife Amanda and Craig Bluto; three brothers, Gordon Hufford and his wife Susie, Conrad Hufford and his wife Sandy and Bradford Hufford and his wife Louanne). Jack is also by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, dad is preceded in death by his beloved sister whom he loved so very much, Twylla June Samsel.
