Happy birthday to you in heaven - I hope you like your flowers!

So sorry for your loss Susan, what a beautiful relationship you had with your sweet grandmother, the way you took the time caring, standing in for her when she couldn't and the way you loved her was such a blessing in her life with no regrets.  Granny definitely knew how much you loved her because you showed it, long talks, laughs, sharing stories and memories from the past just being there a couple times every week to make her smile was a blessing for her.  Find comfort in knowing that one day you will be reunited with her in heaven as she will be waiting there for you, until then she will be watching over you from afar smiling down on you, watching you and your grandchildren share the same love.  Continued prayers for you always my dear sweet friend.

Susan, I am so deeply sorry about the loss of your sweet Granny. Just take comfort in knowing that she is having the time of her life now dancing through the streets of heaven! She is looking down on you everyday and smiling knowing what an unbelievable and loving granddaughter you was to her! May God hold you in the palms of his hands and comfort you in this time of sorrow. She just took a trip to the greatest place imaginable and she will be waiting for you someday! Last Wednesday February 19th, 2025, the day you left for Heaven, a huge hole formed in my heart. This date is not just a date on the calendar, it is the day my very existence changed forever! I think about all the beautiful memories we made together and how blessed I was to have you in my life. I would not trade those moments for the world. I know there will be days when I will wish I could go back and relive days with you, not to change anything, but just to have one more of our long talks and feel your hand holding mine.  You accepted me and my big ‘ole heart when others could not. You loved me when some did not, you taught me to be strong, because you knew that one day I would need the strength to bear your passing. I will never forget the things you taught me and how loved you made me feel – As I am writing this, I realize you taught me everything, except how to live without you! I know that time will pass, but not one day will go by that you are not in my heart – Even though I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with hands, I will feel you in my heart forever! I will remind myself that goodbyes are not forever, our goodbye last Wednesday is not the end, it simply means I will miss you, until we meet again!

For a few years I have had the pleasure of sending a card to Susan's Granny once a week. Since she went to College Pines I have picked out a card, added a cheery note,  said a prayer over it and put it in the mail on Thursdays. I know Susan you will miss her terribly but she was so loved and you took such good care of her, it is a comfort to know Granny is now with the Lord.

So sorry for your loss Jean was a classy lady she liked wearing her makeup and her hair being fixed even when she was sick. She will be missed here at College Pines. Many prayers going out for peace for the family.
