Jeffrey Robert Brackett

Jeffrey Robert Brackett, age 58 of Valdese, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Jeff was born to the late Mitchell Brackett and Kathryn Randall Brackett on May 19, 1959 in Cleveland County, NC.

Jeff loved his God and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman, guitar player and an excellent provider for his family. Jeff was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by a sister, Angela Hiatt, and grandparents, Monnie and Carmie Brackett.

Those left behind to cherish Jeff’s memory include his wife, Mona Brackett of the home; a daughter Lisa Hollar of Connelly Springs; a granddaughter, Bristol of Valdese; and a brother, Andy Brackett of Morganton.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. JR Richards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A time of food and fellowship will follow after the service in Kirksey’s Event Center.
