

Joanne Mary Keating, age 84, of Morganton, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at home, peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was born on April 24, 1941 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Frances and late Joseph Reynolds.
Joanne graduated from Brown Vocational High School with her certificate in cosmetology. Shortly after, she married the late James J Keating Jr. They were blessed with twin babies during their union, James and Kathleen.
Joanne was the oldest of five, the late Bobby (Bene) Reynolds, the late Joey Reynolds, Paul Reynolds (wife, Lynn) of Delaware, and Kay Pritchard (late husband Charles) of Delaware.
Joanne was a beautiful soul inside and out and was blessed to have found love not once but twice in her lifetime. After her marriage to James Keating Jr. she found love in the late Bill Eller.
Joanne is preceded in death by, her parents Joseph and Frances Reynolds; her daughter, Kathleen Greer; her late husband, James J Keating Jr.; her late brother, Bobby Reynolds, her late significant other, Bill Eller; and great grandson, Trevor Baldwin.
Joanne is survived by her granddaughter and caregiver, Dara Greene (husband, Antonio); son, James Keating III (wife, Lisa); brother, Paul Reynolds (wife, Lynn); and sister Kay (late husband Charles); grandchildren, Robert Cahill (wife, Mary), Crystal Keating, Justin Keating, Nicole Durr, and Katie Doherty-Smith; great grandchildren, Shayla Baldwin, Antonio Greene Jr., Monte' Greene, Nevaeh Greene, Travis Greene, Javohn Greene, and LaNyiah Greene, Michael Greer, Isabelle Greer, and Aiden Greer, Mylee Cahill, DJ Newsome, Illiana Newsome, Larry Durr, Alisha Durr, Antonio Durr, and Stephanie Durr; great-great grandson, Zekiel Dalton; nieces and nephews; Michelle Heck; Brian Pritchard; Tracey Vanderhoff, Kristin Reynolds; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.
The family would like to thank all the nurses at Amorem Hospice, Atrium nursing and health at home, physical and occupational therapists for all their help and the continuous love and support throughout the years. You all have been wonderful and made my grandmas time enjoyable and helped give her the mobility and strength to do everything she wanted until the end. God Bless you all!
