Joseph Ivan Bourque Jr.

Born October 15, 1964, Joseph was a son of Asme Trahan Bourque and the late Joseph Ivan Bourque, Sr. Joseph had worked as a press operator at Molded Fiber Glass in Morganton. He enjoyed watching TV, especially wrestling and the Saints Football games. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Damion Bourque; a special friend, Antwanette; and a sister, Martha Bourque.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Julie Bourque of Morganton; a son, Johnny Duhon of Morganton; three daughters, Danielle Piercy (husband Kenneth) of Morganton, Jasmine Bourque of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Nichelle Bourque of New Iberia, Louisiana; a brother, Shawn Bourque of New Iberia, Louisiana; a sister, Linda Bourque of New Iberia, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Hunter Piercy, Beau Piercy and Jade Bourque.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Solomon Shirleys officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Duhon, Austin Gauthreaux, Kenneth Piercy, Sidney Romero, Todd Romero, Dustin Romero and Ronald Romero, Jr.
