I was so saddened to hear of Joy’s passing. Her name couldn’t have been more fitting because she truly brought so much joy to everyone around her.
I grew up across the street from Joy, and throughout my childhood I spent so much time sitting on her porch, chatting away. She was one of those people you could talk to for hours because there was never a dull moment with her. Even as an adult, whenever I visited my parents, I always looked forward to stopping by to sit on the porch and catch up with Joy.
You will be deeply missed, Joy. I hope you’re somewhere with a beautiful porch where you can sit, talk, and bring joy to others the same way you always brought it to me.

Joy was my big sister although we were not biologically related she was my husband's aunt  my husband always called her mom he loved her very much as did I . I miss her terribly I remember all the long talks we had there are so many I can't even count but I remember each and every one of them Joy was my greatest supporter she had been for over 30 years she never passed judgment she was always so funny as hell she often referred to herself as God's comic relief and I agree with that statement she was my best friend I'm going to miss all those conversations all the talks we agreed on almost everything we were so much alike  our thought process was one and the same our beliefs were the same I don't think there was ever a time when we ever disagreed on anything there's days when I look forward to getting on that phone and calling her just to talk but now I can talk to her spiritually but it's not the same. I will never forget her,  Joy was a very loving giving nurturing person . Ive known her longer than I knew my own sisters she was my greatest supporter she was there for me through thick and thin and she always gave me good advice and I was always able to lean on her and vice versa there's so much I could say about her she was a beautiful soul and she will be sorely missed but never forgotten and if she could hear me now I would tell her thank you thank you for all the wonderful memories and the love and the support you have given me all those years rest in peace my friend . You are finally home with our father our Lord and savior now you can do whatever you want go wherever you want see whoever you want the heavens are your oyster see you on the other side my friend . I will forever be grateful to you rest in peace. I love you ❤️

Joy you are very loved and will be sorely missed.  I will remember the good times, camping, down the shore, at your home, our home. You had great humor and a wonderful laugh!  ❤️

Your Mom welcomed me into her family when I was a teenager. I looked forward to all the weekends I spent with you and your family, Jamie. 🥰 They were cherished memories for me, and I'm so grateful to have been blessed by you, your Mom, and your family. ❤️  I ABSOLUTELY LOVED how your Mom laughed so freely and joyfully. I loved being the  second unofficial adopted daughter of the family. ❤️ I loved your family. It just spoke of Love. To me, your Mom was my Sweet Soul Mama, just like you were my Sweet Soul Sister. Much love to you and your family during this tender time. ❤️
