Kathryn Marlene Randall Brackett

Kathryn Marlene Randall Brackett, age 80, of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 while in the care of Catawba Regional Hospice. She was born the daughter of the late Charlie Zero Randall and Lucy Digh Randall on June 26, 1934.

Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by four brothers, JH Randall (infant), Charles Randall, Larry Randall, and Jack Randall; and two sisters, Adele Bolin and Millie Lackey.

Those left behind to cherish Kathryn’s memory include her husband, Mitchell Brackett of the home; two sons, Andy S. Brackett and companion, Karen Reece of Morganton, and Jeffrey Brackett and his wife, Mona of Valdese; a daughter, Angela Hiatt of the home; a granddaughter, Lisa Hollar and her husband, Jeffery; a great granddaughter, Bristol Hollar; three brothers, Hal Randall and his wife, Dorothy of Valdese, Walter Randall and his wife, Barbara of Morganton, and Buren Randall and his wife, Kathryn of Vale; and a sister, Janice Morrison of Shelby. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. JR Richards officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of refreshments and fellowship from 5 to 7 PM that evening also at Kirksey’s.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Catawba Regional Hospice.
