Linda Kay Dale

Linda Kay Dale, age 57, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 14th 2010 at her residence. Linda was born the daughter of the late James Luther Dale and Ruth Prewitt Dale on January 27th 1953 in Morganton. She was employed as a nurse at the Foothills Correctional Facility, and had also worked at Grace Ridge and Grace Hospital in the past. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Douglas Mace and his wife, Cassi of Claremont; a daughter, LeShae Bradley of Morganton; a special daughter, Stephanie Mace of Granite Falls; three grandchildren, Lance Powell, Dakota Bradley and Lily Mash; three aunts and one uncle. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 17th 2010 at Mull’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Barlow and Rev. Bud Jernigan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at Kirksey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lance Powell and Dakota Bradley educational trust which is held by BB&T in Morganton.
