

Mary Ann Bostic Alexander of Nebo went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday February 3, 2013. Born December 13, 1931 at Shelby Hospital, she was the daughter of the late David Evans Bostic and Ural O'Clair Rollins Bostic and step- father, Carl Edwards.
She was a Christian, a longtime member of Calvin Heights Baptist Church, and later faithfully attended Asheville Street Baptist Church to the present.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Bill Alexander. Surviving are her children: O'Clair Alexander of Morganton, William Theodore (Ted) Alexander, III and wife Patti of Shelby: Major Mary Docia A. Buchanan and her husband Tracy Buchanan of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia: Ann Bostic (Plu) A. Chapman of Morganton; a life-long friend and sister-in-law Mary B. Alexander of Morganton, a brother-in-law Erwin Alexander and his wife Celia of Suffolk, Virginia; a step-sister Betty Edwards Shires of Ellenboro, grandchildren: William Theodore Alexander, IV, Christina Ann Alexander, Alexander Cole Chapman and Hannah Marie Chapman, and their father, Bart Chapman, a special cousin Wayne Hitt of Morganton, and a host of cherished cousins descending from the Rollins family from the Mount Sinai area of Cleveland County.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Asheville Street Baptist Church in Morganton with Pastor Doug Goforth officiating. Graveside services will be held immediately following at the cemetery of Calvin Heights Baptist Church (now Bridge 42).
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of Ted and Patti Alexander, 409 Beaumonde Ave, Shelby.
